Jakarta -- Best Western International – The World’s Largest Hotel Chain® - has announced the soft opening of Best Western Premier Solo in Central Java in mid-August 2009. Best Western Premier Solo will be Best Western’s first premier brand hotel in Solo-Java, Indonesia, the city noted for its two royal houses of Mangkunegara & Kasunanan.
The hotel is located 20 minutes from Adi Sumarno International Airport and neighbors prominent local attractions, shopping centers and corporate offices. Inspired by Indonesia’s distinctive architectural and cultural traditions, the hotel offers 148 sumptuously-appointed guestrooms that emphasize personal comfort, privacy and value.
The hotel is complemented by a full array of premier facilities, including a stylish swimming pool, fitness center and international standard spa. Business guests are well served by a business center, meeting rooms, conferencing and banqueting facilities with internet connectivity throughout the resort on demand.
“With its unique history and character, Solo is the perfect city to introduce a hotel of the quality of Best Western Premier Solo, that blends Indonesian traditions with 21st century style and comfort,” noted Glenn de Souza, BWI Vice President International Operations – Asia.
“Looking at Indonesia altogether, we see many attractive opportunities for Best Western Premier, especially in light of the government’s strong support for tourism and more low-cost air carriers, both domestic and international, extending their networks here,” the executive added.
Optimally set in the heart of the city, Best Western Premier Solo features use of refined traditional Javanese batik, the world-famous fabric that is eloquently emblematic of the region’s culture and philosophy. Traditional Javanese batik colors of indigo, chocolate and white symbolize the three major Hindu Gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Siva. Certain patterns can be worn only by royals.
“Best Western Premier Solo is specially designed for guests who appreciate a unique experience away from home combined with all the luxuries of life and the warmth of genuine hospitality,” said Jusuf Sawirin, Chief Area Officer of Area Development Indonesia.
“The hotel specializes in quality accommodation with the consistent standards and services that are demanded by both domestic and international travelers to Solo and we are proud to add this unique and beautiful property to our steadily expanding portfolio of prime hotels in key destinations throughout Indonesia,” the executive concluded.
