ATLANTA | Onity has announced the appointment of Bradley Bolton to the position of global IT director. Based at Onity’s world headquarters in Duluth, Ga., Bradley will be responsible for driving IT solutions and practices throughout Onity’s worldwide operations. This will include assessing the IT needs of the business and implementing strategies and programs that support the organization; managing application development, implementation, and support; supervising computer and communication equipment maintenance and support; and directing system networking. Onity, one of the world’s leading providers of electronic locking solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
Brad brings over 15 years of experience in leadership roles with global technology organizations to his new position at Onity. For the past two years, he served as president and CEO at OptiDyn, a provider of energy efficiency systems for the manufacturing sector. From 1999 until 2006, he held a variety of senior management, financial and IT positions with global corporations, including Leica Geosytems, ERDAS, and Equarius. Prior to that, he served as a semiconductor design engineer and later, an independent consultant, to Mitsubishi Electric in Japan.
Brad is proficient in Japanese and has a BEE in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his MBA/MIB in International Management from Thunderbird Global School of Management in Phoenix, Ariz.
